Needs shift a little at every stage of pregnancy. In line with your doctor's care, a plan that fits iron, folate, calcium and fluids into everyday meals and is updated for common complaints such as nausea, constipation and reflux.
At the first visit we talk about your week of pregnancy, the supplements your doctor recommended, your recent lab results and your daily routine. The aim is not "eating for two" but putting the right food on the plate at the right time.
We set any weight-gain target together with your doctor; I build a meal routine that fits it. With gestational diabetes screening or low iron we adapt the plan following your doctor's advice.
