Nutrition with food allergy

A plan that fills the gap left by the removed food and teaches label reading.

Nutrition with food allergy — Merve Koç, MSc RD

For children diagnosed with a food allergy by a paediatric allergist or paediatrician, a plan that replaces the foods removed from the diet and supports growth. I do not diagnose or interpret tests; I work on your doctor's referral.

When a food such as milk, egg, wheat or nuts is removed, the protein, calcium or energy it provided has to come from elsewhere. We build the plan around that gap.

At the visits we read supermarket labels together and prepare an information note for nursery and school. We support the nutrition side of any food challenge or reintroduction your doctor plans.

Who is it for?

  • Families of children diagnosed with a food allergy by their doctor
  • Breastfeeding mothers of babies with cow's milk protein allergy (on medical advice)
  • Children who need to avoid more than one food
